SAND: Raiders of Sophie Trampler Guide

The Reactor: your heart and your weak spot
Everything on the Trampler runs on power, and the Reactor is its source. No power means no movement and no weapons — so protecting your Reactor and locating the enemy's is the central skill of ship combat.
- On offense: aim for the enemy Reactor. Stripping armor or modules is slower than knocking out the core that powers the whole vessel.
- On defense: position so your Reactor isn't the easiest angle for an attacker. Use the Trampler's bulk and terrain as cover.
Your mobile base
The Trampler isn't just a vehicle — it's where you live between fights. You add compartments and stations to it (including a crafting Workshop bench unlocked through the Tech Tree), making it a rolling home you upgrade run after run. Treat it as a fortress: it carries your loot, your crafting and your crew.
Tech Tree & builds
Progression runs through a Tech Tree that unlocks new Trampler parts, compartments and crafting options. A few build principles for Early Access:
- Unlock the Workshop early. An onboard crafting bench means you can repair and build on the move instead of relying only on Forts.
- Balance power. More weapons and systems draw more power — don't bolt on so much that your Reactor can't sustain it.
- Layer your defenses around the core. Since the Reactor is the kill target, build with its protection in mind.
- Upgrade gradually. The game is procedural and PvPvE — a reliable, sustainable Trampler beats an over-extended glass cannon.
