SAND: Raiders of Sophie Resources & Materials
Last reviewed: June 27, 2026 · Early Access — values are patch-sensitive
Scrap Metal is the backbone material — it crafts white weapons (25 each), powers rarity upgrades, and feeds recipes like mounted ammo. Other key materials are Weapon Parts, Fabric and Scrapped Ammo. Different recipes mix them differently, so it pays to keep a stock of each.

Key crafting materials
| Material | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Scrap Metal | The core material. Crafts white weapons (25 each), fuels rarity upgrades, and goes into ammo like the 40mm Autocannon Shell. Farm this constantly. |
| Weapon Parts | Used in most weapon recipes. When you run low, the Fabric-based Pepper Mill Shotgun is a handy fallback. |
| Fabric | A softer-good material; notably used in the Pepper Mill Shotgun in place of Weapon Parts. |
| Scrapped Ammo | Goes into mounted rounds — e.g. ~2 Scrapped Ammo + 2 Scrap Metal per batch of 40mm Autocannon Shells. |
The game features many more lootable resources; exact lists and yields shift with patches. Treat these as the high-priority staples.
How to prioritize farming
- Scrap Metal first. It's in nearly everything — weapons, upgrades and ammo. A healthy Scrap stockpile keeps you crafting through losses.
- Bank Weapon Parts for your main weapons, and keep some Fabric as insurance for the Pepper Mill Shotgun.
- Carry Scrapped Ammo if you run mounted Trampler guns for ship fights.
- Extract to keep it. Resources only count once you successfully extract — don't hoard so much that a death wipes a huge haul.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the most important resource?
- Scrap Metal — it's used across weapons, upgrades and ammo.
- What do I do if I run out of Weapon Parts?
- Craft the Pepper Mill Shotgun, which uses Fabric instead. See weapons.
- Do I keep resources when I die?
- No — you keep what you extract with. Dying in a run loses the loot you were carrying.
